Modern City Wedding in St. Ursen Cathedral and Casino Bern
Exactly five years to the day since my first wedding shoot in Solothurn at the St. Ursus Cathedral, I had the pleasure of photographing another beautiful couple at this same location. Just like back then, Solothurn’s autumn fair was in full swing in the old town, and we were blessed with a perfect autumn day. Before the ceremony, we wandered through the city for some couple photos, weaving between market stalls and tourists, and even the cathedral ceremony had a few “extra guests” — some tourists thought it would be a good idea to slip in right behind the bride and groom! Luckily, Photoshop’s AI is always there to lend a hand.
After the ceremony, we enjoyed a beautiful reception at Palais Besenval, right by the river. From there, a bus took us to Bern, and as the sun set, the view over the Aare River toward the Federal Palace was simply stunning. The Burger Council Hall at the Casino Bern, along with its adjoining terrace, glowed warmly in the evening light, making it a dream for any photographer. Thank you so much for trusting me with your day — what a truly beautiful wedding!
